United Way of Cheatham County
Through the generous contributions received from citizens of Cheatham County, the United Way of Cheatham County has actively funded non-profit health and human service agencies operating in Cheatham County for over 20 years. Funds for these grants are obtained through pledges and donations received during the United Way campaigns conducted in the fall of each year both in the county as well as those held in other counties. Through this process residents of Cheatham County working outside of the county are able to directly support the services offered to all residents of the country through theses agencies.
The fall campaign season of the United Way of Cheatham County usually opens with a three-day series of meetings with employees of A. O. Smith Water Products. A. O. Smith is a strong supporter of United Way and, as the largest employer in the Cheatham County, is the ideal company to begin the campaign season.
