at United Way of Metropolitan Nashville

Day of Action Video

Calls for assistance with basic needs have increased this year compared to 2009, such as housing needs (up 34%) and employment needs (up 97%) according to United Way’s 2-1-1 help line. These staggering numbers indicate that many Nashville residents are struggling to simply get by. United Way’s Financial Stability Day of Action volunteer opportunity is critical to helping our Nashville neighbors shoulder the burden of meeting basic needs by providing food, personal care items and cleaning supplies to help carry them through these tough times.

Join us as we kick off our 2010 Campaign AND our Financial Stability Day of Action in conjunction with the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. We’ll gather for a Campaign Rally, featuring inspiring message from our 2010 Campaign Chair, Gregg Morton, President of AT&T Tennessee, as well as live music and a continental breakfast. Then stay to help sort and pack basic needs items for our Day of Action. This is a fun team building activity so bring your colleagues with you!
