Be a Voice for VITA
Join us for this ongoing Day of Action volunteer opportunity and help spread the word about free tax preparation and the EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit). Gather a team of coworkers or friends to help United Way distribute informational resources to low- and moderate-income working families and individuals who stand to benefit greatly.
Team volunteer shifts available throughout February and March!
We’ll coordinate a customized time and volunteer program for you and your team of volunteers!
This volunteer engagement opportunity includes:
AWARENESS: Learn about United Way’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program counteracting predatory lending practices in Nashville.
VOLUNTEERING: By assembling VITA/EITC informational packets.
ADVOCACY: Delivering packets to neighborhoods and workplaces so those who are struggling for financial stability can “earn it, keep it, save it!”
