Pre-school children in some of Nashville's highest-risk neighborhoods are more prepared than ever to enter kindergarten, thanks to Read to Succeed, United Way's early literacy program that's reached the phenomenal success rate of 99.4 percent! With the help of more than 200 volunteers and 74 local companies our June Day of Action, STUFF THE BUS, has put over a 1,000 backpacks into the hands of kids who need them.

2009 VITA Results

Thanks to free tax preparation and the Earned Income Tax Credit, more than 7,000 low-and moderate-income working families throughout Nashville received a total of more than $11.4 million in refunds this past tax season.
