Women United in Giving

In 2009, Women United in Giving supported Nashville’s Community Baby Shower, United Way of Metropoltian Nashville’s Day of Action supporting our Health focus area. This Day of Action exceeded the goal of 1,000 bags of essentials needed for newborns to have a healthy start. Bags included more than 60,000 items such as diapers, wipes, onesies and formula.

More than 120 volunteers united to make a difference. Over 50 companies were represented. Expecting and new mothers from seven United Way partner agencies benefited. Agencies included were Catholic Charities, The Next Door, Nurses for Newborns, Renewal House, Salvation Army, United Neighborhood Health Services and YWCA.
