IMPORTANCE OF BOOK DRIVE:
•In 2002, tests showed that only 33% of at-risk kindergarteners entering school were ready to learn.
•Today, United Way of Metropolitan Nashville’s Read to Succeed program, which annually enrolls 1,200 children, boasts a 99.4% school readiness success rate.
•Having age-appropriate books in the home, even before a child enters pre-school, is one of the best ways to set them on the right path… it’s never too early to start learning!
