United Way is at Work in the Community

Over 300 volunteers from United Way, Humana and KaBOOM! gathered together to build a playground in one day at United Way’s McGruder Family Resource Center.

Members of the Tennessee Titans joined the children at United Way partner agency Fannie Battle Day Home for Hometown Huddle. Hometown Huddle is a United Way/NFL partnership involving a day of service designed to bring awareness and impact to the issue of youth health and fitness. During Hometown Huddle, NFL players, coaches and leadership participate in a variety of youth fitness projects in different NFL cities across the country.

125 volunteers collected, sorted and filled bags with essential supplies to help prepare Nashville’s at-risk new mothers during United Way’s Community Baby Shower Day of Action.
