Health and Well-Being: Barbara
Barbara had suffered a nervous breakdown after the deaths of her father, mother and husband, all in less than a year’s time. She wasn’t eating or sleeping well and was eventually diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Unable to work, she lost her job. But the help she received through a mental health facility and its comprehensive employment program put her life back on track. Today she works in the healthcare field and is making plans to become a registered nurse.
