United Way 2011 Community Baby Shower Day of Action Video Clip: WSMV More at Midday
It's an unfortunate reality that many Nashville babies have disheartening odds. Every week in Davidson County, 194 babies are born, 20 babies have mothers that received no prenatal care,19 babies have low birth weight that could affect their health, and sadly, one baby will never see his or her first birthday. United Way is making a difference in Nashville and throughout Tennessee raising awareness of the challenges newborns can face by hosting a city-wide effort to collect vital baby items to help prepare our city's at-risk mothers. Let's give Nashville's babies a brighter future! Please join us on Thursday, November 17, 2011, for a Community Baby Shower, where we can unite to give more than 1,000 newborns the supplies they need for a healthy start.
