Give Thanks Day of Actionat 8:00 AM
Throughout October and early November, participating companies, groups and organizations are collecting food supplies and assembling Give Thanks boxes filled with all the food needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, along with supplemental food to feed a family through the holiday weekend.
On the morning of November 20, nearly 100 volunteers are needed to use their personal vehicles to pick up and deliver Give Thanks boxes to more than 10 partner agencies across Greater Nashville.
Volunteers will meet at United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for a brief program, coffee and a light breakfast. Volunteers will then disperse to begin pick-up and delivery. Please expect to spend two to three hours.
Please note: You will be required to present a current driver’s license and up-to-date auto insurance upon check-in.
Once you’ve completed this volunteer form, you will receive a form on November 12 that will ask your vehicle type, size and passenger information. Please expect to receive your volunteer assignment at least three days prior to the event. We ask that volunteer drivers bring no more than one additional passenger. All available car space will be needed to load and transport boxes.
Registration will be open from October 28 through November 11.
