The Tennessean: Nashville volunteers help United Way with reading program
Volunteers helped to sort books for the United Way on Thursday in what the organization called a “sort-a-thon,” marking the end of the United Way’s Reading Days of Action. The sort-a-thon brought together 150 volunteers from 25 Nashville corporations at McGruder United Way Family Resource Center. They packed 5,704 books into 650 bags for distribution to students in the United Way Read to Succeed program.
